Join us this Sunday

Eternity Church Sundays

Everyone is welcome at Eternity Church. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t been to church in a while – or never at all – we’d love for you to join us and see for yourselves the difference that Jesus makes.

Coming to church can be daunting, and so below you’ll find everything you need to know about what to expect when you visit. But of course, if you have any questions, we’d love to meet you, so why not get in touch?

Come as you are

One of the things you’ll discover fairly quickly, is that church is full of people who are just like you – so please don’t feel that you need to impress us. There’s no need to dress up or to look a certain way – we’re more interested in getting to know the real you.

When you arrive

When you arrive you’ll be warmly welcomed by one of our welcomers. The welcomer will be able to help you out with any information you need.

The service starts at 9:30am, but most of us come early to mingle and chat, and this is a great time to get to know us and to get yourselves comfortable. And just in case you’re wondering, there’s no special seats, so feel free to sit anywhere you like.

The 'formal' proceedings

While our service has a very relaxed and casual vibe, we’re also convinced that meeting together to worship God is profoundly life-changing.

Our time together will include prayers, singing, reading from the Bible and hearing a message from one of our pastors. While you’re welcome to participate as much as you like, you’re also perfectly welcome to just sit and watch what happens – there’s no pressure to pray aloud, sing or give money.

For Kids & Youth

Kids & Youth are an essential and welcome part of the Eternity Church family. While the service begins with everyone together, after the welcome and a few songs we have a Kids Talk, which is immediately followed by our Kids programs:

  • Creche (for preschoolers)
  • Kids Church (for primary schoolers)

Each of these groups runs for the duration of the service under the supervision of friendly, qualified leaders, and are designed to allow kids to learn and experience God in age-appropriate ways.

A parent or caregiver will need to sign each of their kids into the programs, and if you need to you’re welcome to stick around to help your child feel comfortable.

For parents of babies or toddlers who don’t want to be separated from mum or dad, there is a Parents Room at the back of the Auditorium where you will find couches, change facilities and hot/cold water, as well as a screen which allows you to view and hear the service.

Later, during the sermon time in school terms the youth head out to discuss the passage.

After the service

After the service we invite you to stick around in the undercover area for morning tea and a chance to chat. You’ll also be able to speak with any of our pastors or elders who can help you take the next steps in your journey.

We hope this answers some of your questions, but as always, if you need more information, we’d love to hear from you.
